Slowly

The yellow and grey path has invaded the circles, very slowly this week.

I have been working on this piece for about two months now... no end in sight. The first few stitched pieces that I made I worked on for about a year each, but I wasn't sharing the process then. And I wasn't working on them everyday. But I like being able to look back at the process and see the choices I have made. So thanks for putting up with my endless posts of the same thing.

Connecting areas visually

Bringing the grey thread into the yellow area... I don't think I will do all of the yellow with grey thread, just a little to help visually tie the areas together.

Thinking

The three areas still feel very separate. Of course, they are separate. My plan is to bring them together. It is taking a long time, and I am not feeling all that patient lately.

Trying out how it may go... not sure yet. Maybe the yellow should grow right through the circles instead of around them. Probably.

Related but different

The curving paths are related, but not the same, creating a relationship, but maintaining their separate identities.

Changing light

The curving path continues to grow... shot with different light, sunlight, which  makes the colors brighter. I love how the light changes the colors of cloth.

Following this new path

Still repeating this curving path. Enjoying the process.

So far

So far, it is scattered and ununified, but I believe it has potential... so I will continue.

Repetition

I am repeating the design from the yellow curving strips in grey thread on a large yellow area of the cloth to make the yellow curves feel welcome. I believe this area needs to be much larger to help balance the piece, so I will continue.

A new twist

This week's progress has a curving path that currently dominates the piece... now the task is to make it belong.
