Colors of the season

The last of the brilliant colors of the season. Soon it will be dull and drab. It seems to make it all that much more intense knowing that it is a brief burst of color. Of course, I enjoy the dull and drab too.

The days are getting shorter and I am having trouble keeping up with everything. Tried to get some outdoor things done this weekend... cut down the perennials but didn't get the bulbs planted for next spring. The basement windows got much needed reglazing but still need repainting. Hopefully next weekend will cooperate in allowing me to finish these things.

That's some orangey red pumpkin/squash? Love those colors as you probably know. It's raining golden brown leaves today, temps were 36 here, a little colder there I bet. xox Corrine

Corrine, that's one of those 'cinderella' pumpkins, sort of flat and pinky, magenta-y, orange. It was 36 this morning, but warmed up to 50 or so in the middle of the day. But maybe snow later in the week. -Sue

Hi Sue,

I hadn't seen this post until now. Such beautiful colors in the photos! I'm impressed with your industriousness, both inside and outside your home!
