On the other hand, I feel I need to work through whatever is holding me back on the other piece... I guess I will hang it on the wall and live with it for a time, see what it needs.

Ah, yes, this is definitely cheery! The other is lovely, but goodness knows you've been working on it faithfully and diligently for some time. Will you post a photo of it when you hang it on the wall? I'd love to see it in it's entirety while the next step --if there is to be one--is waiting to announce itself. :)
